My purpose for this blog is to rediscover writing as a form of catharsis, to contemplate old hurts as well as new ones caused by alcoholic family members and to move past them into a happier, or at least healthier, life.
I have a Bachelor of Art in English Writing and Literature with a concentration in Rhetoric and Teaching. I haven't done a lot of writing since college, although I have spent several recent years working as a tutor for grade school through graduate school students in writing, grammar, vocabulary, literature, job search, and resume help.
